Driveway Paving and Site Work in Laconia, NH and the Lakes Region

Young's Excavating & Paving LLC is based in Penacook, about thirty minutes down I-93 from Laconia. Belknap County is one of the six counties we work in every season, and driveways in Laconia, Gilford, Belmont, Tilton, Sanbornton and Meredith, along with Franklin and Northfield just over the county line, are within our normal working range.

Driveway Paving in Laconia and the Lakes Region

Lakes Region driveways have their own problems. Steep lakefront lots push water straight down the driveway toward the house or the shore. Camp roads and older driveways were often built on whatever was there, with a few inches of gravel over sand or ledge, and the frost finds every soft spot. We handle new installation, full tear-out and replacement, resurfacing and repair, and on every one of them the base and the drainage are decided before the asphalt is, because that is what determines how the surface holds up. Within 250 feet of a lake or river the state's shoreland rules limit new impervious surface and can require a permit; we tell you when that applies to your lot. Our full range of paving services and site work is available across the Lakes Region.

Lakes Region businesses run on a short season, and a parking lot that is torn up in July costs more than the paving does. We build new lots, resurface worn ones, repair potholes and catch basins, and stripe lines, with the work phased around your hours and, where it matters, around the summer. Because the site work and the paving come from one company, there is one contractor to schedule and one standard on the job. See our commercial paving and parking lot work for what that looks like.

Highly recommend Young’s! They were paving our neighbors driveway and in the area and asked us about our driveway. We were a little hesitant at first because I hadn’t had time to do my research, but I did some research quickly and found out they had done some jobs for other friends of ours in town who were also very pleased. They answered all of our paving questions and were very easy to work with! We were highly impressed with the outcome of the driveway as well as the work ethic of the guys doing the job. ...Can’t say enough good things about this company and I would not hesitate hiring again, and referring them to anyone! 10/10

My 1st experience with Youngs was a relief. I have a really long road and driveways. It had old pavement that needed serious help. I couldn't afford what was recommended from Youngs or anyone else. Youngs was willing to work with me and my budget at the time, even though it wasn't what was recommended but it definitely improved my situation. They truly saved me.

I got 4 different quotes from different paving companies and needless to say.. I am absolutely stoked I picked Youngs. Every single person I interacted with was not only pleasant, but some of the most genuine people I've met. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone. They are incredible at what they do. ...Thanks to all of you, I won't be sweeping 20 lbs of dirt out of my kitchen everyday!
