Catch Basin Not… Catching?

A catch basin is intended to “catch” runoff water, following extensive rainfall. If the catch basin gets clogged with debris or suffers stress of some kind, causing the water to pool or back up, you could wind up with a flood near your home or business. And we’ll give you one more: storm drains. Similar to a catch basin, a storm drain is designed for the same purpose but located along roadways and city streets.
If a storm drain somehow clogs -- either because it's too small for the job or debris has built up over time, it will fail to function properly, resulting in a backup of water and potential property flooding.
